Mini Biography
Barbara Ricci was raised in the Bronx, New York. She is the youngest of three children. Her father Frank D'Amico was born and raised in the Bronx, and was a World War II Veteran, and he supported his family driving dump trucks and later he became an official for the Teamster's Union Local 456 in Westchester County, until retiring after having a stroke in 1989; Barbara's mother, was a manager for RKO Proctors movie theaters, and she was great at what she did, and she loved her job; it was the prime of her life when she was struck down with crippling arthritis. Ironically, Barbara's parents died only seven months apart in the year 2000; while living in California with her brother Frank, who is an actor.

The only thing substantial that Barbara inherited from her parents is her father's purple heart, and her mother's wedding ring, and their strong will to live.

The siblings Frank D'Amico Jr., and his younger sister Barbara have always loved each other deeply, and they have always had a special unique bond, their closeness is like the one that twins share together.

"My brother Frank D'Amico was one of the funniest comedians that ever lived." Frank passed away on June 1, 2008.

Barbara has studied acting in New York City since 15 years old, and she has been writing since she was sixteen. Barbara tells stories about her life living in the Bronx, and Mount Vernon, she tells bits and pieces throughout her writing in her screenplays.

Barbara is a workaholic and has won numerous awards for her work. She was a regular comedian at Stand up New York, and gave it up to become a successful publisher a Westchester Online News, "The Westchester News" she has changed the way news is told.

Barbara is an award winning documentary filmmaker, she makes people laugh, and she makes them cry, but most importantly she makes people understand that life is like an acting class that teaches us that acting is only a re-action to who we are inside, and there are many of you's inside, and many of what, where, when, and whys we love what we do, and why it's important for us to reach our greatness.
