Raymond Carter Cantrell is a Texas-based Writer/Producer known for his hands-on leadership style and ability to generate value from even small budget productions.
A former freelance political operative, Raymond's past work included such activities as running canvasses, writing campaign communications, videography, and opposition research. His transition to film and commercial production began when he realized he enjoyed the media aspects of politics more than the field work. Starting with web commercials and student films, Raymond soon moved into feature films and broadcast commercials. Past commercial clients include Allegra, McLaren Automotive, Icy-hot, Nike, CNN, Visa, Chase Bank and Verizon.
Raymond has produced four feature films and two short films. As a scriptwriter he has co-written two scripts, optioned a third, and a fourth in production. As a producer Raymond continually strives to push the boundaries of the budget while identifying a clear path to monetization.
When not working on films or a commercial project, Raymond keeps busy writing. In 2011, he released his first novel entitled "America in the Fall" about the aftermath of a political civil war in America. He also enjoys speaking to groups and individuals about the ability of positive thinking to overcome any and all of life's challenges.
