Chris received his BA at Columbia University and an MFA at the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television. As an editor, Chris Perkel is best known for having shaped over 1200 hours of footage into Pearl Jam 20, Academy-Award winning director Cameron Crowe's seminal portrait of the iconic band. Other notable projects include: The Real Rocky, part of ESPN's Peabody award-winning "30 for 30" series; the Grammy-nominated Johnny Cash's America; and HBO's upcoming mini-series Sport in America. Chris has also directed The Town That Was, a documentary feature USA Today describes as "haunting and unforgettable" as well as Counting the World, a doc commissioned by The United Nations that took him to five countries across four continents.
