Kotarou and Yukiya are two foster children about to be let out on their own. The family factory is threatened, and each of them have their own problems they don't want to discuss with their "okan" (kansai dialect for "mom"). Arigatou, Okan is a story about the two of them growing up and becoming decent adults.
