The video was directed by Specter Berlin and was released online on 28 March 2019 at 18:00 CET[3] following a 35-second preview[4] for the video two days prior. The video preview sparked criticism a few hours after release. The dark, violent, even macabre video, typical for the band, features various events from Germany’s history,[5] including Roman times, the Middle Ages, the World Wars and the Cold War; and sci-fi scenes set in outer space. German actress Ruby Commey also appears throughout the video and is credited as Germania. The ending credits feature a piano version of the band's 2001 single "Sonne".
