Erik Zijlstra studied for cameraman / video editor, and eventually graduated as editor. After his training he started making low-budget films, first in the underground genre, but later he devoted himself to pornography. Erik Zijlstra was very much in the media after it became known that he had made the first Frisian adult film, and he was working at that time with an adult parody of "The Hell of '63" by Steven de Jong. The filmmaker has next to the first Frisian adult film, also the first adult film (from the Netherlands) in anaglyph 3D on DVD. In 2011 he took the press with the release of Clitna, a parody of Fitna by Geert Wilders.
