Studied filmmaking at the Korean Academy of Film Arts. Directed documentarytrilogy of women’s history, followed by Koryu: Southern Women/SouthKorea(2000), I’ll Be Seeing Her(2002) and New Woman: Her FirstSong(2004). These works caught the attention when screened at domestic andinternational film festivals including Seoul Women’s, Yamagata, Pesaro, Melbourneand Hong Kong.
