Liam Alex Heffron is an award-winning entrepreneur, actor and writer. Best known for his role of police officer, (Garda) Sean Doran, in Ireland's most popular TV drama 'Fair City', he also featured in the popular 'Hardy Bucks' TV Series, and the Irish language soap, 'Ros na Rún'. Liam is also noted as a TV host and contributor, with the RTE documentary, 'The Battle for Rural Ireland' and the 'Averity TV', online interview series.

After studying drama, Liam became a regular stage actor and director on the Galway circuit, writing two stage plays; the courtroom drama, 'The Tinker's Blade', and historical comedy, '1798 - The Year of the French'. He made his screen debut in the film 'The Summer of the Flying Saucer', with Robbie Sheehan ('Love / Hate') and has gone on to feature in the award-winning 'Mobs America', the iconic New York short film, 'Top of the Rock', and in his own WebTV comedy, 'Breaking Hollywood'. His satirical TV pilot, 'DUP.ie', documenting the setting up of a fake political party to seek Irish reunification with the UK, drew death threats from extremist Republicans, necessitating police protection.

Aside from the stage and screen, Liam holds a first-class honours MA degree in History, from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and in 2018 he published his first book, 'No Revolution, igniting war in North Mayo, 1917-1923'. He led the development of the acclaimed Blanemore Forest Archaeological Walk, in his native Mayo, and founded the ANSEO! digital archive to preserve over 280,000 Irish primary school historical records. Liam is also an award-winning electronic engineer and electronic security consultant to the Irish Police and Prison services, McDonalds Restaurants and MBNA - Bank of America. His patented life-saving, toxic gas detection system which he invented in college, has been documented with saving a number of lives on farms, in Ireland.
