Matt Johnson is an award-winning writer/director/producer with a broad range of work in theatre, radio, television and film. In addition to his direction of over fifty stage productions, his credits include work on the TV shows League Of Legends, The Voice, The Grammy Awards, Jeopardy, Wheel Of Fortune, NBC London Olympics, and many commercials with Deutsch LA - including national spots for Volkswagen, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Target and Snapple. He has written and directed ten films, as well as creating the original radio drama series New Frequency for XM/Sirius Radio and iTunes with over 100 episodes produced. Previous films include Manipede, Butterflies, True Fiction, Final Call, The Goth Next Door, Chalk, and the critically-acclaimed festival darling and Oscar-qualified short Texas. In addition, in partnership with Bruce Willis and Weimar Pictures, he recently completed a feature film documentary on Bruce's life entitled Bruce Willis: Why The Legend Never Dies. Upcoming projects include the original series El Verdugo, By Night, Rednecks and The Resurrectionists, as well as the feature films Gold Rush, The Resurrection Of Lawford Bertolucci and Ego Stroke Inc. A native Texan, his education includes studies and degrees at The University of Texas, The Royal National Theatre of London, and UCLA.
