Nick Wade (aka Nik Fiend), his wife Chrissie Wade (Mrs. Fiend), and their band Alien Sex Fiend were popular on the 1980s Batcave scene, which was the meeting point for all those involved in the still-emerging Goth subculture. Their blend of horror rock and glam captured the zeitgeist of the moment, combining the influence of Alice Cooper with the aesthetics of zombie movies.
