Nina Rausch was born and raised in Ingersheim, a small town outside Stuttgart/Germany.
As a young girl, she started dancing ballet at the age of 4 and step foot on stage for the first time at the age of 5. There she discovered her passion for performing by using her skills in acting, dancing, singing. playing the clarinet and the piano.
But during the years, she began to mainly focus on her acting and took on many leading roles at her high-school as well as her music-school. Roles included Pinoccio, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Lady Macbett and many more.
Once she landed the leading role in her first movie Caravan, she knew that there was nothing else she wanted to do but act.
Her dream of becoming an American actress brought her to the decision to move to the US for the first time at the age of 17. She became a high-school exchange student in Moscow/ Idaho where a family opened their home for her. After receiving her American high-school diploma, she knew she had to finish her German school and moved back to her home town one last time.
The great musican Ron Modell, visited her family and introduced her to her future acting program at Northern Illinois University. Once accepted to the school, she studied the Meisner acting technique under Kathryn Gately, who was trained by Sandy Meisner himself.
This program allowed her to study for one summer at the legendary Moscow Art Theatre in Russia. There, Nina was part of the cast performing 'The Birds' for the first time on the Mxat stage.
After an intense 4 year training, she graduated in the spring of 2006 and moved to New York City to build her acting career. Nina has been very happy in the big apple for all the opportunities it has given her in the past 2 years.
Yet in the Fall of 2008, she felt the need to relocate and take the career a step further. So she packed her bags and made her dream come true, to finally be a part of Hollywood!
