The brief was to do a Halloween animation, 15 seconds or less, for StopmotionAnimation.com founder Anthony Scott's StopmoJam3 compilation. It had to start and end with a black frame, but otherwise we were free to do what we wanted. 24 animators participated, and it was a fun and varied collection! But I did have to cut mine pretty brutally to get it down to 15 seconds, including losing the cape filling the screen shot as my way to start with a black frame. I use it here for the title. This 30 second version is more like I had imagined it, though I still had to leave out a couple of references to the 1922 Nosferatu film because they didn't really fit this mini-narrative.
