Tom is the head gardener of a large public park. He loves his job and is proud of his blooms, especially his marigolds.
Also working in the park are Max, Bodie and Doyle.
Max rents a room in a house owned by mad landlady Mrs Giles. He's in love with Claire, who lives nearby with her strange mother Maggie.
