Professor Joann Fletcher explores what it was like to be a woman of power in ancient Egypt. Tem como não amar a Joann Fletcher? Uma Mary Poppins gótica e apaixonada por múmias andando de preto da cabeça aos pés no deserto de 40º? Chorando com murais a cada trinta minutos? Não fica melhor que isso, sério. A periodização é... hm, interessante. Cobrir três mil anos em 60min não é pra poucos, mas a delimitação dos assuntos conseguiu (malemá) dar conta. Uma introdução morna ao Egito em geral, mas uma ótima introdução ao desprezado tema da igualdade de gênero nessa civilização. Pra quem quiser continuar, o Immortal Egypt, também com ela, é excelente.
