Ele também fundou a polêmica banda de crossover thrash, Stormtroopers of Death (S.O.D.). Ele chegou a apresentar alguns programas na TV americana, relacionados a música, como o programa Heavy: The Story of Heavy Metal, exibido no Brasil pelo canal a cabo VH1.
