Judi Dench, é uma atriz britânica, vencedora do Oscar de Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante, como Rainha Elizabeth I, no filme ''Shakespeare Apaixonado/Shakespeare in Love'' (1998).

Ganhou seis prêmios Laurence, considerado o "Oscar" do teatro britânico. Apareceu na Broadway, também, em Amy's Room.

No cinema, estreou com o filme britânico, "Four in the Morning", em 1965. Ao longo da sua carreira, recebeu o Oscar de Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante por sua atuação em "Shakespeare in Love", de 1998, e indicada à estatueta seis outras vezes: cinco das quais como Melhor Atriz, pelas suas interpretações em "Sua Majestade, Mrs. Brown/Mrs. Brown", de 1997; "Iris", de 2001; "Sra. Henderson Apresenta/Mrs. Henderson Presents", de 2005; "Notas Sobre um Escândalo/Notes on a Scandal", de 2006; "Philomena/Philomena", de 2013 e uma nomeação de Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante em "Chocolate/Chocolat" de 2000.
